I relinquish
This argument
And say:
“It is only without fear.”
I can’t hide
My love
Behind
Fear—
A quiet disposition to
Withhold is
The best I can do.
Awkward silence
Shadowed tears
Excited thoughts
Empty of
Physical expression—
Yes. Yes. I have been
Powerless in
Love.
Yet.
It’s never been
Love that
Hurts.
Rather.

People of
Love
Hurt in
The absence of
Love expressed.
We.

Love
Hurt when

Received in
Expression
But rather
Denied in
Fear.
